Before reality TV existed people just watched sitcoms. However, despite the fictional nature of the sitcoms we often still hoped for a ‘reality-like’ romance to develop. No not Steve Urkel and Laura Winslow, we’re talking about Uncle Jesse and Becky. Those who longed for it (have issues) never got to see it happen and here is why….
In a recent interview Yahoo’s Daily Shot, Full House star Lori Loughlin, Becky, explained that timing was the main reason that she and co-star John Stamos never got together while filming the show.
“I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband,” Loughlin, 49, told host Ali Wentworth on Tuesday, March 18. “Literally when I was getting divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn].”
That’s not going to make too many people happy to hear that excuse. Both Loughlin and Stamos would go on to divorce their significant others who messed up the “timing”. Loughlin has since remarried and has been married for 17 years now. At age 49, she still looks amazing. Stamos, 50, is still on the prowl so there is still hope.
If you recall, Stamos recently gave an interview in which he described Loughlin as “the one that got away”. Basically, it’s a tragic story of love that never happened – who would have thought coming from Full House.
